This day, Nov,11,2001 I have create my first poetry web page. I think poetry is the first step. The best step. But also the most dangerous, because it open humans to an universe without the terrestrial gravitational field. I have found some spatial handles in Muslim philosophy.

Answer:

Hmmm. Interesting.

Thank you very much for this timely and perfect service. So far I have not made use of this site but inshallah I will use it more often from now on and send it to colleagues at other institutions. I would like to ask if this dictionary is exactly the same as the 1970 edition of M Saed Sheikh's Dictionary. I have a copy of this edition and from time to time I have been making additions on it. I may send in future my additions and you may also put them on this site if you find them useful. Wassalam Alparslan Acikgenc

Answer:

Br. Alparslan, I look forward to your additions.  Thank you and the additions are in place. Waslam.

after Mulla Sadra (contemporary in some ways with Rene Descartes, are there any 17th, 18th, 19th & 20th Century muslim philosophers, thinkers, or muslim scholars of renown, discerning, learned apart from : 1) Sayed Nursi, Muhammad Hamidullah, Iqbal, Maududi, Afghani, Rashid Rida, Abduh 2) the Twelvers scholars like Tabatabai etc. I am more interested those coming close to Mulla Sadra, Ibn Arabi, Al Ghazali etc

I was very happy finding your dictionay. I am working on the concepts of form, matter and content from Antiquity up to our days, and here Islamic philsophy is very important. I am also an over-aged student of the Arabic language on a very elementary level, most of all because I find it necessary to have some knowledge of the language in which most Islamic philosophy is written. The definitions in the Dictionary seem succinct and enlightening. I only regret that the words don't seem to be accurately tranlitterated (at least in my PC I cannot see the diffenence between 'sin' and a 'sad' etc). Yours, Sven-Eric Liedman Professor, History of Ideas and Science, Göteborg University.
